Interview skills training

Remember that awful feeling before an interview? Now you can help young people overcome that feeling and be better prepared.

Interviews can often be traumatic for both the interviewee and interviewer but it's even worse when you are just leaving full time education and have no idea what to expect.

By helping young people to prepare properly beforehand you can help them to overcome the many hurdles an interview can place in their way. You can help build their confidence and show them how to demonstrate their skills and talents to an employer.

You can give them advice and help on how to prepare beforehand. Things like:

  • What does a CV look like?
  • Why is a CV so important?
  • What should it contain?
  • How do I transfer what I’m learning at school into evidence of my skills for an employer?
  • How do I complete an application form?
  • What should I wear?
  • How much should I know about the employer?
  • What questions am I likely to be asked?
  • What should I ask?
  • What's the difference between a one to one, panel and group interview?
  • What's a competency-based interview?
  • What's expected of me at an assessment centre?
