The conference, hosted by school pupils, demonstrated the importance to the Scottish economy of developing enterprising and entrepreneurial young people and at the same time enabled the exchange of practice amongst international partners.

The aims of the conference were:

  • To showcase Scotland's comprehensive approach and commitment to enterprise in education through national and local exemplification
  • To network and exchange practices with international partners from the EU and beyond
  • To demonstrate how Scotland is better preparing young people for the world of work and fulfilling their place in a globalised society

Pupils from Knox Academy, Royal High School, Dalkeith High School, Galashiels Academy and Stirling High School played host to delegates, welcoming guests and speakers, and providing entertainment. During the conference, delegates heard from various keynote speakers, attended workshops and had the opportunity to visit schools / colleges to see enterprise education in action.
