Business Adviser

Schools across Scotland need you to support them by acting as Business Advisers to young people at a wide range of events and activities.

This might take a few hours once a year or involve you working with a group of pupils for an hour every week of the school term. The choice is yours and the benefits are huge.

Programmes such as Young Enterprise Scotland provide Business Advisers with the opportunity to develop and hone their own management skills in a real working environment; in particular their communication, interpersonal and team working skills.

By working as a Business Adviser, speaking directly to young people about your business or your job, you can develop skills such as:

  • Self-confidence
  • Team working
  • Decision making
  • Presentation
  • Management
  • Leadership
  • Planning
  • Organisation

You will also have the opportunity to meet other similarly committed local business people. It's great PR for your company and lets you meet first hand the customers, employees, employers and entrepreneurs of the future.
